…with some fantastic additions to Ibiza’s foodie hotlist!
With agriculture in abundance all over our small island, more and more organic and sustainable restaurants are starting to take the spotlight. But with so many to choose from, it’s hard to know where to try during your stay…so we’ve done the hard work for you and rounded up our top 4 places to dine in 2018.
If you’ve visited Formentera, of course you know the infamous Beso Beach Club, the place oozes laid back class and offers delicious Spanish, Mediterranean and Greek food which is fantastic if you’re headed over to Formentera, but if you’re not we’re pleased to inform that this summer we’ve seen the opening of Beso Beach Ibiza join the white sandy shores of Las Salinas on Ibiza Southernmost tip.
Beso has seen a host of celebs enjoy their fun chic atmosphere over the years and this summer we’re excited to see a similar crowd flock to Beso Ibiza. The restaurant brand has continued with its all-natural décor in their new spot, they offer the same style menu for lunch and dinner, as well as sunbeds on the beach to the front of the establishment to lounge on throughout the day, whist you sip on their delicious cocktails.
Chiriguito Blue is a new addition to the Santa Eularia beach front and a very welcome one too. Up and coming Santa Eulalia is fast becoming a spot to be seen with its offering of luxury hotels in the area. Chiringuito Blue’s Cuisine is described as Mediterranean Greek fusion which seems to be on the rise in Ibiza at the moment.
Located towards the river-end of Santa Eularia’s promenade, this trendy outdoor restaurant is directly on the beach with covering from the sun. Table service at the restaurant is spot on, with helpful friendly staff in abundance to take care of your every need. They offer a brilliant breakfast menu in the mornings, with all kinds of dishes to satisfy even the biggest of appetites.
In addition, there are sunbeds to the front of the restaurant where you can a beach menu with a great selection of cocktails to be enjoyed between catching rays and cooling down in the sea. They even offer a kids corner to keep the little ones entertained every day from 12hr – 18hr.
Shamarkanda, is a brand new gem North of the island, located on the Portinatx ‘rotonda’. Upon entry, you’ll be greeted by a friendly service, ‘zen’ atmosphere and eclectic beats that completes the setting perfectly.
You can expect Great cocktails, fantastic bao buns as starter, ceviche and blue cheese risotto as main and beautiful desserts. The creativity and execution of the cuisine is impressive – inspired by Asian to South American to traditional Spanish dishes, all in one menu.
The venue is relaxed and boho, set in an old villa which has been carefully refurbished to retain its original features. During the heat of the summer, the tables are mostly outside in the pretty garden which is adorned with Balinese umbrellas, pretty lights and interesting outdoor ornaments. This restaurant epitomizes the spirit of the North.
Jul’s Ibiza is located in the South of Ibiza, close to Sa Caleta beach in San Jose. This Mediterranean and Greek fusion restaurant serves organic, fresh and innovative signature dishes by their Greek fine dining chef.
The venue is absolutely gorgeous, offering both outdoor and indoor dining areas that have been frequented by some of Ibiza’s ‘it crowd’ including famous DJs to beautiful models. The décor can be described only as elegant and contemporary with a Greek touches throughout. The outdoor area is relaxed and comfy, whilst inside is more chic and luxurious.
The bar is tended by highly talented mixologists who are committed to sustainable and low-waste practices. Here you’ll find interesting ingredients such as rosemary stems and citrus husks used to create their stunning Greek twist organic cocktails. The ambience is electric every night of the week with live entertainment and DJs spinning the decks. This place is a must visit for 2018!
